What is Khan World School (KWS) @ ASU Prep?
Khan World School (KWS) @ ASU Prep offers a completely new approach to online education. Bringing together enthusiastic students from all around the world, KWS provides a rigorous, self-paced curriculum that fosters the individual intellectual spirit of each student. We aim to teach students valuable skills for the real world and give them agency to explore their own academic interests, leaving them prepared to excel in college and in life beyond.

How is Sal Khan involved in the day-to-day school?
In addition to being a founder and visionary for the Khan World School, Sal hosts some Seminar sessions and also makes special appearances in special Q&A events where students can “Ask Sal Anything”.

How is Khan World Schools different from other online schools?
Key design elements include:
- A weekly synchronous seminar around engaging, relevant essential questions. Students spend approximately 1-3 hours for required synchronous time each day.
- A full mastery-based instructional model leveraging the best of Khan Academy with ASU Prep infrastructure
- High school peer-to-peer tutoring using the Khan Schoolhouse.world system
- University courses available on a learner pathway
- Student-driven projects to show mastery
